Title: The White Rabbit: A British Agents adventures in France
By Bruce Marshall
F. F. E. Yeo-Thomas was a British Special Operations Executive (SOE) agent, nicknamed by the Germans "The White Rabbit" In World War II. He was given responsibilities by the British government in Occupied and Vichy France because he had lived in France during the interwar years and was fluent in French.
Yeo-Thomas was captured and spent the rest of the war in captivity after having been interrogated by the gestapo and subjected to brutal torture, including beatings, electrical shocks, psychological gameplaying, sleep deprivation, and repeated submersion in ice-cold water—to the point that artificial respiration was sometimes required.
